Hoekstra to hold town hall meetings on health care reform

Rep. Hoekstra will be holding several town hall meetings on health care reform over the next few days.  Pass the word on and attend a meeting!  Let him know that there are people in his district who support reform.

Here are the details for the events:

  • 8:30am – 10:00am, Saturday, August 29 – Cadillac High School Auditorium, 400 Linden St, Cadillac, MI.
  • 12:00pm – 1:30pm, Saturday, August 29 – West Shore Community College, 3000 N Stiles Rd, Scottville, MI.  The event will be held in the Center Stage Theater, located in the WSCC Arts and Sciences Ceter.
  • 7:00pm – 8:30pm, Monday, August 31 – Evergreen Commons, 480 State St, Holland, MI.

Join the Mason County Dems for classical music

The Mason County Democratic Party will host a classical music program on August 23rd, 2009.  William Cerney, on the piano, will offer selections from the work of Ernesto Lecuona, who was known as Cuba’s George Gershwin.

The program will start at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 23rd, at the Ludington Area Arts Center at 107 S Harrison in Ludington.

Cost:  $10 donation, seniors $8.

There will also be a cash bar, wine and desserts.
